Juanjo is the winner of the 2022 World Harp Competition and we’re more than happy to see him back in Utrecht. He currently tours with the “Juanjo Corbalán Quartet”, which brings together and rescues sounds from Paraguayan popular music, combining several elements of the traditional rhythms of Paraguayan, Latin American instrumental music and jazz influences, thus incorporating the folk instrument of the Paraguay, like the harp, within a freer musical context.
